Upgrading Grupo is simple process. Download the latest version from CodeCanyon, upload the upgrade folder & contents, and then open yourgrupoaddress/upgrade to begin the upgrade process. You can now find the changelogs at the following link: Change Logs
Important : Before you get started,
- Backup your Grupo Files
- Backup your Grupo Database
- Make sure your are running PHP version 8.1 or latest version.
How to Upgrade Grupo to Latest Version ?
To get started, go to Codecanyon and download the latest version of the Grupo Chat Script. It should download a single ZIP file.
- Unzip Files: Extract the contents of the zip file you downloaded from CodeCanyon to a folder on your computer.
- Upload Files: Extract the upgrade_grupo.zip file and upload the entire upgrade folder (including the folder itself) to the Grupo directory on your web server.
- Run the Upgrade: Access the upgrade script via your web browser:
- If Grupo is installed in the root directory, go to: http://yourwebsiteaddress/upgrade/
- If Grupo is installed in a subdirectory (e.g.,
chatroom), go to: http://yourwebsiteaddress/chatroom/upgrade/
- Follow Instructions: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.
- Verify & Adjust: After the upgrade, log in to Grupo and check Site Roles, Group Roles, and Grupo Settings. Make any necessary adjustments.
That’s it! Your Grupo Chat should now be updated to the latest version.
Encountering a 404 error? Ensure that the upgrade folder has been uploaded to the directory where your Grupo website is located, and confirm that the upgrade_grupo.zip file has been properly extracted.
Missing new features?
After upgrading, make sure to review your Site Roles, Group Roles, and Grupo Settings. There might be new options to enable or disable in these areas. Don’t forget to check them out!
