Group members are the individuals who have joined and are part of a specific group. Group members can be assigned specific group roles. Group roles define their permissions and responsibilities within the group.

How to add a site user to a group as a group member ?

  1. Click on Menu.
  2. Go to Groups in the side navigation menu.
  3. Click the three dots icon next to the Group
  4. Choose “Members”
  5. Click on the Plus Icon at the bottom right of the content area.
  6. Click the three dots icon next to the User you want to add
  7. Select “Add to Group”

Note : If you want to add users in bulk, click the selection icon at the top right next to the “Members” title, select the users, and then click the “+” (plus) symbol at the bottom right.

How to invite users to join a group ?

  1. Click on Menu.
  2. Go to Groups in the side navigation menu.
  3. Click the three dots icon next to the Group
  4. Choose “Invite Users”
  5. Enter the usernames or email addresses of users (including non-site users) in the Email/Username field, each separated by a new line.
  6. Click the “Invite” button.

Note: You can also copy the link displayed in the “Invite Link” field and share it with others to join the group.

How to view online users in a group ?

  1. Click on Menu.
  2. Go to Groups in the side navigation menu.
  3. Click the three dots icon next to the Group
  4. Choose “Members”
  5. At the top of the list, click on the “Members” title (with an arrow) to reveal a dropdown menu.
  6. Choose “Online”.

How to change a group member’s group role ?

  1. Click on Menu.
  2. Go to Groups in the side navigation menu.
  3. Click the three dots icon next to the group you want to modify.
  4. Choose “Members”.
  5. Click the three dots icon next to the group members you want to modify.
  6. Choose “Edit Group Role”.
  7. Find and change the group role to your preferred option in the “Edit Group Role” screen.
  8. Click the “Update” button.

How to ban or unban a group member ?

  1. Click on Menu.
  2. Go to Groups in the side navigation menu.
  3. Click the three dots icon next to the group you want to modify.
  4. Choose “Members”.
  5. Click the three dots icon next to the group members you want to ban/unban.
  6. Select “Ban from Group” to ban a member and “Unban from Group” to unban them.
  7. A confirmation dialog will appear. Select ‘Yes’ to confirm.

Note: You can also access these options by clicking on a username in the group conversation. Click on the username in their message to open their profile, then click on the options menu and select your preferred choice.

How to ban a group member temporarily ?

  1. Click on Menu.
  2. Go to Groups in the side navigation menu.
  3. Click the three dots icon next to the group you want to modify.
  4. Choose “Members”.
  5. Click the three dots icon next to the group member you want to ban.
  6. Select “Temporary Ban”.
  7. In the screen that appears, select the date until which the member will be banned from the group.
  8. Click Ban

How to join a group as a member ?

  1. Click on Menu.
  2. Go to Groups in the side navigation menu.
  3. Click the three dots icon next to the Group
  4. Choose “Join Group”

How to leave a group ?

  1. Click on Menu.
  2. Go to Groups in the side navigation menu.
  3. Click the three dots icon next to the Group
  4. Choose “Leave Group”

How to remove a group member ?

  1. Click on Menu.
  2. Go to Groups in the side navigation menu.
  3. Click the three dots icon next to the group you want to modify.
  4. Choose “Members”.
  5. Click the three dots icon next to the group members you want to modify.
  6. Choose “Remove From Group”.
  7. A confirmation dialog will appear. Select ‘Yes’ to confirm.
