The “People Nearby” feature allows users to find and connect with other users who are located within a specified geographical distance from their current location. This feature relies on the geolocation provided by the user’s browser. Users are prompted by their browser to either allow or deny access to their location.

To enable or disable People Nearby feature:

  1. Click on the Menu.
  2. Select Settings from the side navigation menu.
  3. Choose General Settings
  4. Find People Nearby Feature.
  5. Select your preferred Option.
  6. Click the “Update” button.

To configure the maximum distance (km) for People Nearby :

  1. Click on the Menu.
  2. Select Settings from the side navigation menu.
  3. Choose General Settings
  4. Find People Nearby – Maximum Distance (km).
  5. Enter your preferred value.
  6. Click the “Update” button.

To see people nearby

  1. Click on the Menu.
  2. Select Nearby Users from the side navigation menu.

To prevent users from viewing nearby site users:

  1. Click on Menu.
  2. Go to Modules in the side navigation menu.
  3. Select Site Roles.
  4. Click the three dots icon next to the site role you want to modify.
  5. Choose “Edit”.
  6. Deselect “View Nearby Users” under the “Site Users” section.
  7. Click the “Update” button.
