The Swear Filter, also known as the Profanity Filter, is designed to identify and manage any strings containing inappropriate or offensive language.

How to enable or disable the Profanity Filter ?

  1. Click on the Menu.
  2. Select Modules from the side navigation menu.
  3. Choose Profanity Filter
  4. You’ll find fields for “Filter Messages,” “Filter Full Name,” and “Filter Username.” The “Filter Messages” field will screen words within message content, “Filter Full Name” will address words in users’ full names, and “Filter Username” will manage words in usernames. Select your preferred options for each.
  5. Click the “Update” button.

For Your Information :

  • Strict mode replaces substrings even if they aren’t standalone words. For example, if you blacklist the word “bad” and the text contains “badword,” strict mode will still filter out “bad” from “badword.”
  • You can add words to filter by entering them in the “blacklist” field.
  • In strict mode, you can add words to ignore by entering them in the “Whitelist” field.
